🛫 Returning to SOAR: A Journey of Hope, Water, and Wings 🕊️

In 2022, I packed my camera 📸, my heart ❤️, and a mission—and flew to Kenya 🇰🇪 to support SOAR Kenya Academy, a school nestled in the heart of Nakuru. What started as a photography trip quickly became something much more profound. Through One Toad Photography and the generosity of our community, we were able to:

• 💧 Fund several fresh water wells, bringing clean, life-saving water to the school and surrounding community.

• 🍽️ Feed the entire school for a day, turning lunchtime into a celebration of nourishment and unity.

• 💻 Supply laptops, opening digital doors for students eager to learn and connect with the world.

• 🤝 Build a lasting partnership with James, the school’s passionate and visionary director.

🚁 Now, I’m Going Back—With a New Perspective (and a Drone)

This time, I’m returning with the DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine—a cinematic drone that will help me capture SOAR Kenya Academy from breathtaking new angles. From the red clay roads 🛣️ to the vibrant schoolyard 🏫, I’ll be documenting the beauty, resilience, and joy of this incredible place in ways I never could before.

SOAR Kenya Academy isn’t just a school—it’s a sanctuary of opportunity. Founded to serve vulnerable children 👧🏾👦🏾, many of whom are orphaned or from impoverished backgrounds, SOAR provides education 📚, meals 🍛, and a safe space to dream 🌈.

• 🚰 Only about 59% of Kenyans have access to safe drinking water, which makes every well we help fund a true game-changer.

• 🧒🏾 SOAR Kenya Academy serves over 600 students, many of whom walk miles each day just to attend class.

• 🌋 The Great Rift Valley, where Elburgon is located, is visible from space and is one of the most geologically active regions on Earth.

• 🕊️ The name “SOAR” stands for Serving Orphans and Rebuilding, a mission that’s as bold as it is beautiful.
