Today was supposed to be scary. Arya said Halloween was full of terrifying things like doorbells, costumes, and loud kids. I was ready. I even practiced my “puff up and hiss” routine in the mirror. But guess what? Nothing scary happened. Not even a single ghost. What a disappointment. I stayed on the bed most of the day, curled up in my favorite warm spot, snuggled against Ace. He’s the best pillow. Soft, warm, and he doesn’t mind when I drool a little.
The highlight of my day? Dad’s magical screen. I stepped on the clicky thing again and—bam—birds. So many birds. It’s like it knows me. I think it reads my mind. I stare into it and it shows me exactly what I want. Sometimes squirrels too, but mostly birds. I paw at them, but they never fly away. I’m starting to think they live inside the screen. I must investigate further.
Anyway, Halloween was a bust. But naps, Ace cuddles, and bird magic? That’s a win.
