Dear Diary,
Today is already off to a rough start. Dad is sitting there staring at that glowing thing again. It doesn’t even show squirrels. Not even a cat video! Just boring stuff with words. He keeps poking it, and more boring things pop up. I don’t get it. Why not poke the door so we can go outside?
I heard him mumbling about needing $3,500 to fix my knee. My knee? What’s wrong with my knee? It hurts sometimes, sure, but mostly when I try to run like the wind. I don’t think it’s broken. Maybe it just needs more snacks. Snacks fix everything.
Anyway, it’s freezing outside. Like, super cold. And guess what? No sweater. NONE. I tried to run back inside this morning, but the ground was covered in this slippery, icy stuff. I slid like a penguin and slammed right into the stairs. OUCH. If I had my sweater, I would have been faster. Sweaters make me fast.
Now I’m sitting here, looking at Dad, hoping he notices me. I even gave him the big eyes. Still nothing. Just that glowing thing. I’m starting to think he loves that thing more than me.
