Dear Diary,
January 16, 2026 – What a chilly day! Winter is all about those epic naps, you know? I’ve been curling up in my favorite spot by the window, dreaming of chasing endless tails. It’s super cold outside, but oh man, the snow is the best! I love bounding through it, making paw prints everywhere. Too bad Dad isn’t a fan of the cold – he bundles up like a snowman just to step out. Because of that, we don’t go on as many walks as I’d like. I mean, come on, Dad, let’s adventure!
But hey, exciting news: Dad just got this awesome replacement rug, and it’s my new obsession. It’s so soft and scratchy in all the right ways. I rub my face all over it to get that perfect itch relief – pure bliss! And now, when he says the “carpet” command, it’s game on! We dogs can go wild with our toys, chewing them to bits, and Dad doesn’t mind one bit. No more getting in trouble for that. He really hates it when the couch gets all slobbery and wet, though – oops, my bad sometimes.
Lately, those sneaky squirrel raiders have been busted in the act at least twice a day! They’re always up to no good in the yard, chattering away like they own the place. I bark my head off, but they just scamper up the trees. If only I had a secret door to slip out without them hearing me coming – I’d surprise them big time! One day, I’ll show those fluff-tailed bandits who’s boss around here.
