Dear Diary,
It’s freezing outside. Dad put my coat on, but guess what? Still cold. I don’t like it one bit. I told Dad we need to move somewhere warmer—like, never-below-50 warmer. Tennessee sounds perfect. Dad took me there once, and wow… hiking everywhere! So many smells, trails that go forever, and the water—oh, the water! Fresh from the mountains, cold and delicious. I hope we go back soon.
Dad loves packing his stuff into that giant bag he carries. I think it’s funny—he looks like he’s going on an adventure every time. I’d help, but, you know… paws.
Oh, and Reggie? He tried to bite Dad today when Dad took his jacket off. Dad wasn’t happy. Reggie says his leg hurts. I think Dad knows. Probably because yesterday, Reggie was running like a maniac in the cold. Slippery ground, and then—BOOM! Right into the side of the house. I saw it in slow motion. He tried to stop, but nope. Crash! I think Dad was holding back a laugh. I was not—I laughed inside.
Anyway, I’m curled up now with blankets. Still cold, but at least I’m dreaming of Tennessee.
Love,
Arya 🐾
