Arya’s Diary – November Shadows

Dear Diary,

Halloween is over, but the creepy hasn’t left. It’s darker now. Colder. The wind howls like it knows something I don’t. The leaves are gone, and the shadows are longer. I swear the house makes new noises every night.

Mom and Dad are obsessed with the magic screen again. They call it Stranger Things, but there’s nothing stranger than the things coming out of it. Growling, screeching, slithering things. Things that crawl out of walls and upside-down places. I don’t trust it. I watch from the hallway, just far enough to run if something tries to come through.

I’ve started double-checking the windows. Triple-checking the doors. I sniff under the couch and behind the curtains. You never know. Maybe this show is a warning. Maybe the monsters are real. Maybe they’re already here.

But I’m not alone.

Reggie is on the couch, looking like he’s ready to take on the world. He’s got that “I dare you” look in his eyes. If anything comes through the screen, he’ll be the first to bark. Willow’s next to me, warm and quiet, like a ninja in fur. If we need to run, Reggie can be the noble sacrifice. Willow and I will escape. I’ve already mapped the route.

Still… I can’t stop watching. It’s terrifying. But I have to know what happens next.

Until the next monster sighting,

Arya 🐾
