Arya’s Diary – October Edition

The Season of Barking and Demons

So… we got new collars. Not the cute kind with flowers or bones. Nope. These are training collars. You know why? Because Reggie is a menace. A loud, blanket-burrowing, cat-hating menace. He barks when the humans pet someone else. He barks when the cats sneeze. He barks when the cats walk on him under the blankets (which, okay, rude—but still). He even bit one of the humans in the face. There was blood. Like, horror movie blood. I saw it. I cried. Then I hid behind the couch.

The humans said, “Enough.” And boom—collars. Reggie got one. I got one too. I didn’t even do anything! I’m a good girl! I’m gentle. I’m happy. I wag my tail like a professional. But brave? Nope. Not me. Weird noises? I’m out. Last year, demons walked the streets. They wore masks and screamed and rang bells. The humans called it “Halloween.” I call it terror.

Anyway, the best part? The humans left the remote out. Reggie, in all his genius, decided to sabotage it. He pawed at it like he was hacking into the Pentagon. And then—he hit the super zap button. I have never seen him jump that high. I laughed so hard I snorted. Like, sir, if you can jump like that, why do you need help getting on the bed?

It was the best day of spooky season so far.

Love,

Arya 🐾
