Dear Diary,
Car rides are the BEST! Windows down, ears flapping, all the smells rushing in—pure happiness. But you know what’s NOT the best? The cold. Ugh. The other day, Dad forgot my sweater AND my jacket. Can you believe that? We went to this place where they tried to put a muzzle on me. A muzzle! All because they were messing with my bad leg. It hurt, so yeah, I tried to nip. Wouldn’t you?
Dad said something about surgery. Patellar luxation? What even is that? Sounds scary—almost as scary as the pain in my leg. Thankfully, nothing happened that day. But the person in the weird white lab coat gave Dad some stuff for me to take before we go back. Dad says we’ll make the appointment after Christmas because he doesn’t have the funds right now.
He told me not to worry, that this will make everything better. And if Dad says “better,” that probably means peanut butter is involved. Peanut butter makes EVERYTHING better! I can’t wait for that peanut butter. How much longer until Christmas?
Love,
Reggie 🐾
